A rare original relatively short lived pre-1953 'Queen's Guide award badge'; gilded brass and enamel example surmounted by a 'King George VI' Crown. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel.
Height 35mm.

The 'Queen's Guide Award' was introduced in 1946 when King George VI and Queen Elizabeth were on the throne. The pattern of Crown changed in 1953 when Queen Elizabeth II became Queen.
