A very scarce original First World War period 'British Red Cross Society & Order of St John Central Work Rooms badge' gilded brass example bearing the wartime conjoined shields; the reverse with maker's details "J.R.Gaunt London". Very good condition, retaining original red enamel suspension bar with original pin fittings and cream and red stripped silk ribbon (now fragile), enamel perfect.

A good full sized unnamed gilt medal as issued in 1920 and attributed to Nurse Miss Marion MacGregor Crocket; the obverse with Red Cross within laurel wreath and surrounding title "British Red Cross Society For War Service: 1914-1918", the reverse with maker's details "J.R.Gaunt London" and Latin motto "Inter Arma Caritas" (In War, Charity). Very good condition, complete with original silk ribbon and suspension bar with pin fittings, complete with its original presentation box with coloured details to the front, clean condition, minor service wear. Pencilled name "Nurse Crocket Hounslow" to back of card support and Box of Issue.

Overall Height 80mm.

Attributed to Nurse Miss Marion MacGregor Crocket, it is the only Red Cross Volunteer with this surname. She volunteered for service on the 29th September 1916 and served at the 2nd 'Northern General Military Hospita'l and later '19th Military Hospital Reading', this being her home town. She resigned on the 2nd April 1919.

He was discharged in April 1919 having completed 842 hours work

A rare original Great War period 'Ambulance Column attached to London District badge'; circular silver example bearing an enamelled 'Red Cross' to the centre, title surround inlaid with blue enamel, the reverse bearing Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1917, unusual maker's details "L&S" (Levi & Salaman, Birmingham) and impressed with official issue number "345".
