'London Boy Scouts' Navy Ribbon Silver Crown Embroidered Cloth LCC County Badge.**Extinct.

A rare original circa 1947 short-lived 2nd pattern 'London Boy Scouts County navy ribbon cloth badge' bearing the arms granted to the London County Council in 1914. Very good condition.
Width approx 52mm.

In 1953 the county council adopted a new representation of the arms, still conforming to the 1914 blazon. In 1956 London Scout County was split into seven counties with a complete design change.

British War Medal and Victory Medal awarded to "1382 PTE. E.H. WALLIS. 20-LOND. R.". Complete with original watered silk ribbons.

1382 Private Ernest Henry Wallis was a native of Lewisham and enlisted into the 20th Bn London Regiment. He is confirmed as being awarded the Pair only and the second Regimental number 630243. He was Killed in Action on the 30th August 1918.

'Service Medal of the Order of St John' 24501 A / SIS. M.Davis. No 2 Dist. S.J.A.B.1942.

A good original full size 'Service Medal of the Order of St John'; pre-1947 silver issue depicting the veiled bust of Queen Victoria and abbreviated Latin titles to the surround; the reverse bearing the 'Royal Arms within a Garter' surrounded by four circles containing the 'Imperial Crown', the 'Prince of Wales's Feathers' and the armorial bearings of the 'Order and of HRH the Prince of Wales', the first Sub-Prior of the Order. Between the circles are sprigs of St John's wort. Round the circumference is the Latin inscription "Magnus Prioratus Ordinis Hospitalis Sancti Johannis Jerusalem In Anglia" in 'Old English' script. Very good condition, complete with original silk ribbon.

A good original pre-1960 'National Benzole Mixture promotional key ring'; celluloid circular example depicting the Mercury's head logo in black and gold transfer, the reverse inscribed "Field's Garages Ltd, 31-32 South Street Chichester Telephone Number Chichester 2605". Very good condition, colour remains bright, complete with chromium plated steel key ring showing signs of rust.

During the late 1950s Benzole was pronounced to be hazardous to health, its anti-knocking properties as a fuel ingredient were no longer so important for the smooth running of engines, since various additives including tetraethyl lead were now routinely included in refined petroleum, therefore from the early 1960s onwards National sold only petrol.

Primrose League Knights Imperial, Victorian Large Pattern Badge, Housed in Original Case.

A scarce original Victorian period "Primrose League Knights Imperial badge', unmarked large pattern example in the form of a cross cut in brilliant silver facets, the central Crowned strap bearing the legend "Imperium Et Libertas" (Empire and liberty) with small yellow enamel primrose on patriotic 'Union Flag' background; the reverse with Registered number "Rd196300" a Design and Patent date of 1892 and maker's details "W.O.Lewis Birmm". Contained in original velvet lined fitted leather case with corresponding maker's details to the lid, one half of the catch absent. Very good condition, retaining original slider fitting, enamel intact.

A scarce Victorian 'Primrose League Knight or Honorary Knight of the League badge', enamelled primrose surrounded by a gilt scroll bearing the Latin motto of the League 'Imperium Et Libertas' (Empire and liberty) surmounted by a gilt crown and 'PL' monogram at the foot of the primrose flower, the reverse with maker's details "T & JB" (T & J Bragg Ltd Birmingham) and registered, design and patent number "Rd 41562" (1886).
