Sara's Badge 2002, Robertson's Approved Golly Leukaemia Research Limited Edition Numbered Badge Case and Certificate.

A good original gilt example bearing a Union Flag, a research scientist and a nurse, the reverse impressed in relief with maker's details "Toye, Birmingham England" "Sara" and "Robertsons Approved" with official issue number "7829". Very good condition, retaining original pin fittings complete with safety roller catch in good working order, original presentation case and certificate.
Height 40mm.

'Sara's Badge' was the last authorised Robertson's badge to be issued. It was used to raise funds for the 'Leukaemia Research Charity'.

A scarce original First World War period '1914 Princess Mary Gift Fund bullet pencil'; the brass case engraved with Princess Mary's Cypher and stamped to the base “KN 14 VII”, complete with “Sterling Silver” bullet head and lead pencil. Very good used condition, no dents splits or cracks.

A rare original wartime period 'Women's Land Army Timber Corps beret badge', the reverse with maker's details "A Stanley & Sons Walsall 1-A". Very good condition, retaining original two blade fittings, no fading, warping or distortion, an excellent example.

The 'Women's Land Army Timber Corps' was formed in 1942 to solve the increased demand for timber, they worked in the forests felling trees and also in the sawmills and wore identical uniform to the WLA except the felt hat was replaced by a green beret and Timber Corps plastic badge. They were disbanded in 1946.
