A scarce circa mid 1920's silver 'Rye Grammar School badge'; displaying a representation from the Rye Borough Seal; a one-masted ship with Cross of Saint George flag and Latin motto "Sigillum Baronum de Rya"; the reverse impressed with Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1924 and maker's details "V&S" (Vaughton & Sons Birmingham". Good condition, retaining three original loops to reverse, minor service wear and polishing.
