WW2 National ARP Animals Steward officers badge for working horses

A very scarce original wartime "National Air Raid Precautions Animals" silver plated badge, white enamel "Animal Steward" title scroll, blue cross to the centre, the reverse with maker's details "Vaughtons Ltd B'Ham" and official very low issue number "73". Very good condition, retaining original buttonhole fitting, no damage to the enamel, minor service wear.
Height 31mm.
