Friends of the RAF Malcolm Clubs Royal Air Force badge

A scarce original circa late 1950's period 'Friends of the R.A.F. Malcolm Clubs gilt brass pin badge'; small blue enamel title surround, eagle to voided centre. Very good condition, complete with original pin fittings, no damage to the enamel, gilt finish remains bright.
Diameter 19mm.

The first front line 'RAF Malcolm Club' which was named in honour of 'Wing Commander Hugh Malcolm VC' was opened in Algiers North Africa in 1943. The first one established in England in 1956 was at RAF Wittering, their slogan was 'FOR THE AIRMEN'.
