A scarce original First World War period 'Volunteer Training Corps badge'; gilt red enamel oval title surround the voided centre bearing Maltese Cross with Saint George and the Dragon within blue enamel circlet 'Polytechnic 1914'; the reverse impressed official issue number '345'. Good condition, complete with original buttonhole fitting, gilt finish remains bright, minor restoration to blue enamel circlet.
