Romford Wheelers Cycle Club 1938 silver and enamel fob badge

A scarce original 1938 period 'Romford Wheelers Cycle Club Medal' in the form of a large ornate fob, mounted with a central enamel disc depicting a representation of the Liberty of Havering Palace gatehouse, used on the seal of the Romford Urban District Council, also as a trade mark by 'Ind Coope and Co' brewers of Romford; the reverse impressed ith Birmingham silver hallmarks for 1938 and maker's details 'W H Ltd', inscribed: STANDARD 25 1.11.45. D. SAVIDGE. 1938.' Very good condition, no damage to the enamel, complete with ring suspension.
